What was expected to be a quiet month has quickly grown into a period of significant activity and progress. Our planned electrical improvements expanded in scope, ultimately requiring the removal of the old film projectors and the high-voltage three-phase wiring that once powered them. Although unexpected, these upgrades mark an important step toward modernizing the theater’s infrastructure.
Our Thursday night movie series will continue throughout March, with all selections themed around The Wizard of Oz in celebration of the Adams-Friendship High School production running March 12–14. We are also pleased to partner with Books On Main, our local new-and-used bookstore, to host a community book club featuring Finding Dorothy by Elizabeth Letts.
Several members and past leaders proposed an exciting new project: a children’s radio show titled Alien Invasion. Rehearsals begin February 22 and will continue through March. This initiative aligns directly with one of our core missions—providing a dedicated space for local arts programming—and we are delighted to support it.
