The avid recycler/business manager. I was instantly hooked on helping to
“save” the Adams Theatre when it closed in 2011. This wasn’t just cans and paper:
we’re talking about a whole building on Main Street. The perfect project for my love of
buildings, arts, and “repurposing” – the Adams Community Theatre (ACT).
As for the financial aspect, I’ve been ACT’s Treasurer since incorporation in 2012 as a
non-profit organization, having retired from the Adams-Friendship Area School District’s
Business Manager position in 2011 – perfect timing.
The arts – especially music – bring me joy. I began playing the piano in 3 rd grade and
the flute in 5 th grade. Now I sing in ACT’s Community Chorus. Along the way I’ve
accompanied my kids, other students, 4-H groups, Suzuki recitals, and ACT’s
production of “Cheeseheads”.
I’m grateful to serve on ACT’s Board of Directors with the others who volunteer
enormous time, talent and skills to make ACT run.
